What is the time committment?

The Robotics season begins in early September with the Kickoff. The entire club meets after school once each week through the time of the FTC Regional Championship which takes place in late February.

What is the cost?

PCHS Robotics is generously supported by the Park City Education Foundation and other donor sources, including FIRST Robotics and parents. Costs expected during the season are as follows:

  • The month of September is free! Register, join a team, and get started!
  • If you find that you really want to be engaged in PCHS Robotics, we ask that each student pay a $150 for the season. Full and partial scholarships are available, so don't worry if you can't pay!
  • Students are expected to pay for their own food when travelling to tournaments with the team.
  • Some additional costs are associated with out of state travel. The cost of attending a tournament away from Park City varies from tournament to tournament, and is announced prior to students signing up to attend those tournaments.
  • Normally, students share hotel rooms, and the cost is kept quite low.
